① パレート図とは

① What Is a Pareto Chart?

項目ごとの件数を多い順に棒グラフで並べ、累積比率の折れ線を重ねた図です。どの項目が全体の中でどれだけの割合を占めているかを一目で確認できます。左の軸が件数、右の軸が累積比率（0〜100%）です。

A Pareto chart arranges the count of each item as bars in descending order and overlays a cumulative percentage line. It shows at a glance how much of the total each item accounts for. The left axis shows counts and the right axis shows the cumulative percentage (0–100%).

② 入力方法

② How to Enter Data

• 「項目名と件数」欄に、1行につき1項目ずつ「項目名」と「件数」を入力します。Excelの2列（項目名・件数）をそのままコピーして貼り付けられます。
• 区切りはタブ・カンマ・空白のいずれも使えます（例: 表面キズ 50）。項目名に空白やカンマを含む場合は、Excelから貼り付けるか、件数を行の最後に置いてください。
• 件数は0以上の数値です（小数も可）。負の値・数値でない値・すべての件数が0の場合はエラーになり、該当する行番号が表示されます。
• 先頭行が「項目名／件数」などの見出しの場合は自動的に読み飛ばします。空行は無視されます。
• 同じ項目名（前後の空白を除いて完全に一致するもの）が複数行ある場合は、件数を合算して1項目として扱います。合算した項目は、結果表の上に1つの通知でまとめて表示します（項目名と行数。30項目を超える分は「ほかN項目」）。
• 入力は10,000行まで（見出し行を除く）、グラフに表示できる項目は100項目まで（合算の後。「その他」を除く）です。項目が100を超える場合は、「「その他」へのまとめ」で「上位N項目を残す」または「累積比率がP% に達するまで残す（達した項目を含む）」を選び、残りを「その他」にまとめてください。
• グラフタイトルは任意です。空欄の場合は既定名になります（既定は "Pareto Chart"）。グラフタイトルは40文字までです。
• Excel/CSVから読み込む：本ツールから出力したExcel(.xlsx)・CSV(.csv)のほか、A列＝項目名・B列＝件数の2列ファイル（見出し行はあってもなくても可）も読み込めます。CSVの文字コードはUTF-8（BOM付き含む）またはShift-JISに対応します（アップロードは最大10MBまで）。読み込み後は、入力欄と各設定が復元され、「計算する」を押さなくても結果表とグラフが表示されます。10,000行を超えるファイルは読み込めません。
• データだけクリアは入力欄のみを空にし、全体クリアはすべての入力をリセットします。

• In the "Items and Counts" field, enter one item per line: the item name and its count. You can copy two columns (item name, count) from Excel and paste them directly.
• Tabs, commas, or spaces can be used as separators (e.g., Scratch 50). If an item name contains spaces or commas, paste from Excel or put the count at the end of the line.
• Counts must be 0 or greater (decimals allowed). Negative values, non-numeric values, or a total of 0 cause an error that shows the affected line number.
• A first line such as "Item / Count" is skipped as a header. Blank lines are ignored.
• If the same item name (exact match after trimming surrounding spaces) appears on several lines, the counts are summed into one item. Summed items are listed together in a single notice above the results table (item names and line counts; beyond 30 items, the rest are shown as "and N more").
• You can enter up to 10,000 lines (excluding a header line), and the chart can show up to 100 items (after summing, excluding "Other"). If there are more than 100 items, choose "Keep top N items" or "Keep until cumulative % reaches this value (inclusive)" under "Group into "Other"" to group the rest into "Other".
• The chart title is optional; a default title is used if left blank (default: "Pareto Chart"). The chart title is up to 40 characters.
• Import from Excel/CSV: you can load an .xlsx or .csv file exported from this tool, or a plain two-column file (A = item name, B = count; a header row is optional). CSV files in UTF-8 (with or without BOM) or Shift-JIS are supported (max upload size: 10MB). After importing, the input field and settings are restored, and the results table and chart are shown without pressing "Calculate". Files with more than 10,000 lines cannot be imported.
• Clear Data Only empties just the input field; Clear All resets every input.

• まとめない（既定）：すべての項目をそのまま表示します。
• 上位N項目を残す：件数の多い順にN項目を残し、残りを合計して「その他」にします。Nは1以上の整数です（既定は5）。
• 累積比率がP%に達するまで残す：累積比率がP%以上になるまで項目を残し（達した項目を含む）、残りを合計して「その他」にします。Pは0より大きく100以下の数値です（既定は80）。
• 「その他」は件数の大小にかかわらず、常に右端に表示します。入力データに元から「その他」という項目がある場合も右端に置き、まとめた分と合算して1つにします。「その他」に含まれる項目は結果表の下に表示します。
• 基準ライン：累積比率のラインをグラフに表示します（表示ON/OFF切り替え、既定はON・80%）。割合は変更でき、0より大きく100以下の数値を指定します。「その他」へのまとめの割合とは別の設定です。
• 件数ラベル：「あり」にすると、各棒の上に件数を表示します（既定は「なし」）。「その他」の棒にも表示します。折れ線や基準ラインと重なる場合は、棒の内側の上部に表示します。項目が非常に多く文字が収まらない場合は、ラベルを省略します。
• 左軸の範囲：「総合計に合わせる」（既定）は、左軸の上限を件数の合計にします。最初の棒の頭と累積比率の折れ線の始点が一致する、一般的なパレート図の形です。「最大値に合わせる」は、左軸の上限を最大の棒（＋少しの余白）に合わせます。項目が多くて棒が低くなるときに棒を見やすくできますが、最初の棒の頭と累積比率の始点は一致しなくなります。どちらの設定でも、右軸（0〜100%）と基準ラインの位置は変わりません。
• 折れ線の開始位置：「最初の棒の上から」（既定）は、最初の項目の累積比率の点から折れ線が始まります。「原点（0%）から」は、グラフの左下（原点、0%）から最初の項目の点まで線を引きます。原点には点（マーカー）を付けません。累積比率の数値・結果表・Excel/CSVの表は、どちらの設定でも変わりません。「原点から」を選ぶと、1本目の棒を線が斜めに横切るため、件数ラベルが「あり」のときは1本目のラベルが棒の内側の少し下に表示されることがあります。

• No grouping (default): all items are shown as they are.
• Keep top N items: keeps the N items with the largest counts and sums the rest into "その他" (Other). N is an integer of 1 or more (default: 5).
• Keep until cumulative % reaches this value (inclusive): keeps items until the cumulative percentage reaches the entered value P% or more (including the item that reaches it) and sums the rest into "Other". P is a number greater than 0 and up to 100 (default: 80).
• "Other" is always placed at the right end regardless of its size. If your input already contains an item named "その他", it is also placed at the right end and combined with the grouped items into one. The items contained in "Other" are listed below the results table.
• Reference line: draws a cumulative percentage line on the chart (toggle on/off; default is on at 80%). The percentage can be changed to any number greater than 0 and up to 100. It is independent of the percentage used for grouping into "Other".
• Count labels: when set to "On", the count is shown above each bar (default is "Off"), including the "Other" bar. If a label would overlap the cumulative line or the reference line, it is placed inside the top of the bar instead. If there are so many items that the numbers do not fit, the labels are omitted.
• Left axis range: "Fit to total" (default) sets the upper limit of the left axis to the total count, so the top of the first bar meets the start of the cumulative line, as in the usual Pareto chart. "Fit to largest bar" sets the upper limit to the largest bar (plus a little margin), which makes the bars easier to read when there are many items and they are low, but the top of the first bar no longer meets the start of the cumulative line. In both settings the right axis (0–100%) and the reference line stay in the same position.
• Line start: "From the top of the first bar" (default) starts the line at the point for the first item's cumulative percentage. "From the origin (0%)" draws the line from the bottom-left corner of the chart (the origin, 0%) to the first item's point. No point (marker) is drawn at the origin. The cumulative values, the results table, and the tables in the Excel/CSV files are the same in both settings. With "From the origin" the line crosses the first bar diagonally, so when count labels are "On", the label of the first bar may be shown slightly lower inside the bar.

④ 結果の読み方

④ Reading the Results

• グラフ：棒が件数（左軸）、折れ線が累積比率（右軸）です。件数の多い順に左から並び、同じ件数の項目は入力順のままです。「その他」の棒は灰色で表示します。
• グラフ画像を保存（グラフのすぐ下の「結果を保存」）：表示中のグラフをPNG画像としてダウンロードします。
• Excel出力：入力データ・結果表・グラフ画像を1つのExcelファイル（3シート構成）としてダウンロードします。
• CSV出力：入力データ・結果表をCSVファイルとしてダウンロードします（グラフ画像は含まれません）。
• タイトルを入力している場合、グラフ画像（PNG）・Excel・CSVのファイル名はそのタイトル名になります（ファイル名に使えない記号は「_」に置き換わります）。空欄、または既定タイトル（"Pareto Chart"）と同じ場合は、Excel・CSVは "pareto_result"、PNGは "pareto_chart" になります。
• 結果表（「結果を保存」の下）：項目・件数・構成比(%)・累積比率(%)を表示します。最下行は合計です。見出しに項目数と合計を表示し、表が31行以上のときは折りたたまれた状態で表示されます（見出しをクリックすると開きます）。

• Chart: bars show counts (left axis) and the line shows the cumulative percentage (right axis). Items are ordered by count from the left; items with equal counts keep their input order. The "Other" bar is shown in gray.
• Save Chart Image (under "Save Results", right below the chart) downloads the chart as a PNG.
• Export Excel downloads the input data, results table, and chart in one file (3 sheets).
• Export CSV downloads the input data and results table without the chart image.
• If a chart title is entered, it is used as the file name for the chart image (PNG), Excel, and CSV. (Characters not allowed in file names are replaced with "_".) If the title is blank or the same as the default title ("Pareto Chart"), the files are named "pareto_result" (Excel/CSV) and "pareto_chart" (PNG).
• Results table (below "Save Results"): shows item, count, share (%), and cumulative percentage (%). The last row is the total. The heading shows the number of items and the total; when the table has 31 or more rows, it is shown collapsed (click the heading to open it).

⑤ 計算方法（構成比・累積比率）

• 構成比(%) ＝ 項目の件数 ÷ 全項目の件数の合計 × 100
• 累積比率(%) ＝ 左端からその項目までの件数の合計 ÷ 全項目の件数の合計 × 100（最後の項目は100%）
• 並び順は、件数の降順（同数は入力順）です。「その他」は最後に置き、累積比率も「その他」を最後として計算します。
• 例：A〜Eの件数が 50, 30, 10, 6, 4（合計100）のとき、構成比は 50, 30, 10, 6, 4%、累積比率は 50, 80, 90, 96, 100% になります。

• Share (%) = item count ÷ total count of all items × 100
• Cumulative % = sum of counts from the leftmost item up to this item ÷ total count of all items × 100 (the last item is 100%)
• Items are sorted by count in descending order (ties keep input order). "Other" is placed last, and the cumulative percentage treats it as the last item.
• Example: for items A–E with counts 50, 30, 10, 6, 4 (total 100), the shares are 50, 30, 10, 6, 4% and the cumulative percentages are 50, 80, 90, 96, 100%.

• このツールは自動更新されません。項目・件数・タイトル・「その他」へのまとめ・基準ライン・件数ラベル・左軸の範囲・折れ線の開始位置のいずれを変更した場合も、「計算する」を押すまで結果には反映されません。データを直しただけの場合も、設定だけ変えた場合も同様です。
• 項目名は文字列が完全に一致するものだけを同じ項目とみなします。全角と半角、大文字と小文字などの表記ゆれは別の項目として扱われます。
• 画面の構成比・累積比率は小数第1位までに丸めて表示するため、構成比の表示値を足しても合計がちょうど100にならないことがあります。
• 基準ライン（80%など）は見方の目安を示すための線です。
• 項目数がとても多いと、グラフの項目名が小さくなったり長い名前が省略されたりします（結果表には全文が表示されます）。必要に応じて「その他」にまとめてください。
• データの取り扱い：入力・アップロードしたデータは、計算とグラフ作成のためにだけ処理され、サーバーに保存されません（通信はCloudflareを経由します。詳しくはプライバシーポリシーをご覧ください）。機密情報を含むデータは入力せず、品名・顧客名などは除くか記号に置き換えてご利用ください。

• This tool does not update automatically. If you change any of the items, counts, title, grouping into "Other", the reference line, count labels, the left axis range, or the line start, the results and chart on screen will not update until you press "Calculate" again — whether you only edited the data or only changed a setting.
• Only item names that match exactly are treated as the same item. Variations such as full-width vs. half-width characters or upper vs. lower case are treated as different items.
• Shares and cumulative percentages on screen are rounded to one decimal place, so the displayed shares may not add up to exactly 100.
• The reference line (e.g., 80%) is only a visual guide.
• With a very large number of items, item names on the chart become smaller or long names are truncated (the results table shows full names). Group items into "Other" if needed.
• Data handling: Data you enter or upload is processed only to perform calculations and create charts, and is not stored on the server (traffic passes through Cloudflare; see the Privacy Policy for details). Please do not enter confidential information; remove product or customer names or replace them with generic labels.
